My first podcast

Hi everyone my name is Dillon Kara and this is a podcast about mental health. In these podcasts I will be talking about how mental health affects people and how they can help people. One in 4 people suffer from mental health in their lifetime. This may be from one mental health issue to many. But people need to understand when this is happening. People need to be more helpful and help people who are suffering. Some people don’t want to tell people they are suffering but people should be able to tell if someone is suffering. One way is if someone looks down when they by themselves and always upset but when they are with friends they are always happy and smiling. If you see someone suffering don’t let them suffer alone or it will hurt them more as they keep everything bubbled up. People need to show they care and not just walk past and not care at all. We are all humans and we deserve life but people who suffer from mental health feel like they are unwanted and they are scared to tell people. People who look down when they are by themselves but when with others they are happy and always smiling they may be suffering on the inside. They may be scared to say it to people because they might get judged or get left alone. This would make them feel more alone as people nowadays don’t like helping they just find certain things funny and they laugh about it. But mental health is a serious issue which isn’t shown as it is important. Media coverage on mental health has gone nowhere. I personally have not seen many articles about mental health. The media only want to cover topics which are easier to cover as they only want to represent issues which are easier to cover and issues which will give them less fight backs. This may be the reason why they don’t want to publish any articles about mental health.
Thank you for listening to my first episode.

My second podcast

Second recording
Welcome to my part 2 of my podcast about mental health. This episode I will be taking about how people keep issues bubbled in and how they shouldn’t do that. Keeping issues bubbled in and not telling anyone about it will make you hurt more. These are the reasons why, keeping issues bubbled in will cause you not to trust anyone. This may be because of past issues when you have told someone but they told everyone else. But this is why you need someone close to you when you are going through any issues in life so you can open up to them. This may be hard for some and easy for others. But it’s something which is needed to be done. Keeping issues bubbled up may cause you to break down one day and when you break down you will be hurt more. This is the key of getting through mental health. Talk to people about it and inform people about mental health. People should also understand that if you have got this far suffering and still being strong become stronger and talk to people about it causing you to get stronger and everyone else who is suffering from mental health to get stronger. There are also medical reasons why you really shouldn’t keep things bubbled up. These can be such as migraines, panic attacks and stress. These can vary on the situations faced by the person. But time is of the essence of telling people not keeping away from people. Issues like these can cause serious damage which no one would like you to be seen in. I create these podcasts to inform the public and how they can help people. I want everyone listening to this to go and help someone suffering from mental health and give them the reassurance that you are there for them. How to tell if someone is suffering from mental health, as said in my first episode if people seem to be happy when they are in a group or with their friends but then upset when they are by themselves. Thank you for listening to my second episode of my podcast about mental health.

Tune in at 8pm on the 7th June to listen to episode 3.

Episode 2

I had an error with the sound this was spotted by me when the work was due. This was the sound on my podcast is really low. I had tried fixing things but nothing had changed when trying to fix the errors. I had looked into the clips I had recorded and I noticed that before it was edited the clips were perfect and the volume was loud enough to be heard. But when putting it into a software it became slower and wasn’t clear as well. This has taught me that when recording something I need to make sure that I listen to it first before doing any editing. I also need to make sure that on the recorder I have enabled the right setting, as the settings are able to get changed from the back of the recorder. I also have to use two microphones. This may allow me to find out which one gives me better sound quality as there are different types of microphones.
